Supernatural

In 2019, stars of the hit CW show Supernatural Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and Misha Collins announced that season 15 would be the show’s last season.

Misha Collins then told Digital Spy that the last season of the series is “the season we deserve.” Now hardcore fans are looking for Easter eggs and behind-the-scenes facts to fuel their love for the show and reminisce the amazing and heart-stopping moments of the series.

Here are some of the details you may not know about the legendary CW gem.

Behind the scenes details

One of the most prominent characters on the show is Castile (played by Misha Collins). Fans may have thought that Castile’s name has a profound, deeper meaning, but the truth is it was just discovered through a good old Google search.

That is how show creator Eric Kripke came up with the name Castile. The episodes of the show air on Thursday, and he searched for Angel of Thursday on Google, and that was how he got the name, according to Hidden Remote.

Negan’s cameo

Any fans of AMC’s The Walking Dead would know that Jeffrey Dean Morgan, also known as Negan, starred as John Winchester on Supernatural.

In the 15th episode of season 12, the writers added a small tribute to Negan. The infamous baseball bat Lucille made an appearance in Dean’s hands, declaring that it was their father’s favorite.

Family affair

The family members of Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles had made cameos on the show. Both of their wives appeared on an episode. Padalecki’s wife, Genevieve Padalecki, actually met him when she had a role in it on the fourth season as Ruby.

As for Jensen Ackles wife, Danneel Ackles, appeared on the show as Sister Jo, a faith healer on Season 13. Ackles’ brother-in-law and niece appeared as demons in the episode Soul Survivor. And on top of that, his parents even appeared in the episode Heartache.

Supernatural’s anthem

If you are a real fan of the show, you can name the show’s anthem. But even though the anthem is played in every season finale, the Winchester brothers only heard it once in Fan Fiction. An episode that was constructed to give homage to fans.

The two hunters get to attend a school play based on the books written about them. In the said play, the girl sings the song in all its glory. It was a meta moment, and it gave the fans the chance to connect with Sam and Dean.

Original name

The show was supposed to be named Unnatural, but thankfully the showrunners later decided that Supernatural is better and more catchy for a show title. The show’s creators wanted the public to know what the show is about, and the name Supernatural immediately gives off the image of it being about demons, angels, ghosts, and ghouls.

Sacrificing The Avengers

Fans love the show because they feel like a family, and family is one thing you never leave behind. That is exactly what Jensen Ackles did when he turned down the role of Hawkeye in The Avengers.

Disney princesses

The sirens that Sam and Dean encounter in the show are often named after Disney princesses: Belle, Ariel, Aurora, and Jasmine. Unfortunately, the sirens are the exact opposite of the Disney princesses, and they did not get a happily ever after.
